Animal Reproduction Center of Vairão
Biography
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine and holds a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FMV) of the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL). Currently, she is a Full Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinics at the University of Porto. She is a member of the Scientific and Representative Councils, Director of the Doctoral Program in Veterinary Sciences at ICBAS, Scientific Coordinator of the Regenerative Medicine/Experimental Surgery subunit of the Center for Animal Science Studies, Institute of Science, Technology, and Environment (CECA-ICETA), University of Porto, and of the Comparative and Translational Medicine and Biotechnology subunit of the Associate Laboratory for Animal and Veterinary Science (AL4AnimalS). Over the last 15 years, she has led a multidisciplinary research group in experimental surgery/regenerative medicine, focusing on the development of biomaterials and cellular therapies.

Biography
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FMV) at the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL). Holds a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar (ICBAS) at the University of Porto (UP) since 2012. Her research work has been conducted at the Institute of Agro-environmental and Food Technology (ICETA) within the Center for Animal Science Studies (CECA), focusing on emerging parasitic diseases in livestock species. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinics.
She supervises Integrated Master’s students in Veterinary Medicine and is a guest speaker at various conferences. Additionally, she is a member of the scientific committee for several congresses and actively participates in numerous national and international congresses.
She also serves as the Director of the Clinical and Veterinary Research Center of Vairão at UP-ICBAS, a member of the Scientific Committee for the Integrated Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine at ICBAS, a member of the Veterinary Clinics Department Council, and the head of the Animal Welfare Oversight Body (ORBEA) at UP-ICBAS.

Biography
DVM, PhD (Reproductive Biotechnologies in Equines), Dipl. ECAR (European Specialist in Animal Reproduction – EBVS®). Dr. Guimarães has completed several internships at equine reproduction centers and stud farms in France, Spain, and Argentina. He specializes in equine theriogenology and is involved in research projects on equine assisted reproduction at CRAV.

Biography
Veterinary Doctor, PhD student in Veterinary Sciences at the University of Porto, with internships in equine reproduction and clinic in Germany, Spain, and Portugal. She worked for 2 years at the KI Hof Ter Leeuwe embryo transfer center in Belgium and later worked in southern Portugal for 4 years in equine reproduction and clinic. She is a member of the CRAV and CCEV teams.
