Biography

Licensed in Veterinary Medicine and Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FMV), Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (UTL). Currently, she is a Full Professor at the Department of Veterinary Clinics, Universidade do Porto. She is a member of the Scientific Council and Representatives, director of the Doctoral Program in Veterinary Sciences at ICBAS, scientific coordinator of the Regenerative Medicine/Experimental Surgery subunit at the Center for Studies in Animal Science, Institute of Science, Technology, and Agro-environment (CECA-ICETA), Universidade do Porto, and the Comparative and Translational Medicine and Biotechnology subunit of the Associated Laboratory for Animal and Veterinary Science (AL4AnimalS). Over the past 15 years, she has led a multidisciplinary research group in experimental surgery/regenerative medicine, focusing on biomaterials and cellular therapies.

Biography

Licensed in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FMV), Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (UTL). Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences from the Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute (ICBAS), Universidade do Porto (UP) in 2012. She has conducted her research at the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (ICETA) of the Center for Studies in Animal Science (CECA) in the field of Emerging Parasitic Pathologies in Livestock Species. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Veterinary Clinics. She supervises Integrated Master’s students in Veterinary Medicine. Invited speaker at various conferences. Member of scientific committees for several congresses. Participation in numerous national and international congresses. She serves as the Director of the Veterinary Clinical and Research Center in Vairão at UP-ICBAS, member of the Scientific Committee for the Integrated Master’s in Veterinary Medicine at ICBAS, member of the Department of Veterinary Clinics Council, and responsible for the Animal Welfare Body at UP-ICBAS (ORBEA).

Biography

DVM, PhD (biotechnologies in equine reproduction), Dipl. ECAR (European Specialist in Animal Reproduction – EBVS®). Dr. Guimarães completed several internships at equine reproduction centers and studs in France, Spain, and Argentina. He specializes in equine theriogenology and is involved in research projects on assisted equine reproduction at CRAV.

Biography

Veterinarian, PhD student in Veterinary Sciences at the University of Porto, with internships in equine reproduction and clinic in Germany, Spain, and Portugal. Worked for 2 years at the embryo transfer center KI hof ter leeuwe in Belgium, and subsequently worked in Southern Portugal for 4 years in equine reproduction and clinic. Member of the team at CRAV and CCEV.
